My heart swoons every chance I get to go into the beautiful city of New Orleans. It swoons even more when I get to go and create a portrait series for a graduating high school senior.
When McKenzie said she wanted a 'your DESINTATION' session and New Orleans was on her list of must go places for senior portraits i was immediately all in.
With our team of myself (behind the camera), Kara on hair and make-up and James on lighting, McKenzie's walked away from her portrait session telling her Mom she felt like a celebrity. Behind the scenes passerbyers took pictures of McKenzie's experience, we were stopped several times and asked what we were doing and business owners gave us permission to use their environments as backgrounds.
McKenzie got to experience what being a true celebrity was all about, complete with a changing tent that she hopped into for wardrobe changes right on the sidewalks of New Orleans, hair updo-s and changes while tourist stopped to watch, make-up touchups and lighting test. Each location, each change she absolutely nailed.
As part of McKenzie's 'your DESTINATION' session, we began her session at Studio 61 for cap and gown portraits and then went to Slidell High School for a few cheerleading portraits before heading across the lake.
Below are the poses that McKenzie chose as wallets to share with her friends and family. Enjoy!
