Attention ladies, girls and all who love make up! Have you ever gone for a night out, dinner with the family, or just hanging out with the girls, went to take that cute selfie for Snapchat/Instagram and DUN DUN DUN it happens... the horrible, dusty white, embarrassing, no way to filter out, dreadful flashback!
You swear it's not you, it's the camera! There's no way your makeup could fail you! How could it?
You've spent countless hours wondering around Ulta, pacing up and down the aisles of Walmart, finding that perfect foundation with the perfect coverage. Then it just fails you!
Fear no more! Having experienced this horrible moment myself, I've researched reasons as to why you could get flashback. A key ingredient to check for when buying setting powders or powders in general is Silica.
Silica is found mostly in translucent and HD powders, but can also be found in primers and pore fillers. Try to stay away from the feared silica!
So now to foundations. All year round we are told to use SPF foundations because who wants premature wrinkles? Are you ready for this? That great and wonderful SPF causes flashback! SIGH, girls truly never can win!
But have no fear, I've done my research!
To avoid the horrid, embarrassing flashback, below is a list of drugstore and high end setting powders and foundations!
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder
Coty Airspun Translucent Powder (My personal favorite)

Of course there are many more products that can be used to avoid flashback. Next time you're in Ulta, Dillards, Sephora, or anywhere with experienced makeup artist ask them what they recommend to avoid flashback. They are always more than willing to help, since they themselves more than likely have had it happen to them.
